Cathedral of Dreams!
On Friday March 10th J.H van Geemert will present his new poetry book. Yumarya Grijt and Eric de Brabander will be the hosts of the evening.

With music by Yumarya Grijt, Enrico Henriquez and Willem Blankenburg, and poetry by Ralph Winedt, it promises to be a musical and poetic evening!

The exhibition Duurzaam/Sustain/Tene by Sharelly Emanuelson in the Rijksmuseum was focused on human actions. Emanuelson photographed in the Netherlands and the six Dutch Caribbean islands.
What does sustainability within the Netherlands and the six Dutch Caribbean islands look like? Sharelly Emanuelson examined the relationship between humans and their environment in light of climate change by asking: what do we hold on to and what do we let go of?

On March 2 the artist will elaborate on her recent exhibition in Amsterdam and will share her findings and of course photographs. Join us at Landhuis Bloemhof for this special evening event starting at 7 pm.

Sharelly Emanuelson
Visual artist Sharelly Emanuelson lives in Curaçao and works partly in the Netherlands. Through the creation of film, video, sound installations and photography, Emanuelson materializes her observations and research of everyday practices and relationships between art, culture, heritage & colonial remains. She has been awarded the Charlotte Köhler Prize (2020), the Volkskrant Visual Arts Audience Award (2020) and the Black Achievement Spotlight Award (2018).

Art for the Roses Exhibition and Silent Auction

We are very thankful to the 36 mainly local visual artists who have contributed to make this fundraising exhibition possible. The assignment was to create, especially for this cause - cancer awareness - a work of art in which (an element of) a rose is incorporated. The exhibition Art for the Roses resulted in a colorful stroll through all kinds of emotions, very diverse, and consists of paintings, drawings, collages, photography, mixed media art and sculptures.

Silent Art Auction Prolonged
During the last four weeks many people participated in the Silent Auction which started on October 22 with a minimum bid of Nafl 500 on each artwork. Though the exhibition closes next week and the formal dinner auction is now planned for March 18, you can still contribute to this fundraiser.
The bidding book on our grand piano awaits your generous contributions to raise funds for the fight against cancer. The exhibition will be on till November 26.
