The International School of Curacao proudly presents “Benevolenza”, an art exhibition with works of 8 talented students as part of their International Baccalaureate graduation requirements. This exhibition represents a culmination of the two-year intensive process in an artistic journey that each of these students has chosen to undertake. There will also be selected works from students in the first year of the program. The collection includes paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, and mixed media studies. Each artist brings to the world of creative Arts and Design his or her own artistic vision. Under guidance of their Art teacher,
Ms. Lauren Bloom, these artists have produced a collection of artwork, which is visually stunning and broadly appealing.
Each of the students has created their work by following their own inspiration, interest, and cultural tendencies. The students are: Annemarijn de Vries, Bassima Ghazal, Fiona Henriquez, Emy Koster, John-Edgard Lotman, Mitchel Moreno, Jonathan Sling, and Andrea Spisto.
Art and Design is one of the subjects, which students at the International School can choose as part of the International Baccalaureate diploma. For this occasion, Ms. Vega, the regional examiner officially appointed by the IB examinations committee, will come over from Venezuela especially to view and examine these students’ work. The exhibition will be open to the public from March 27-April 2, 2006.
